Pre - Primary

We believe that at the Pre-primary level it is important to stimulate the child’s curiosity and imagination. Our unique teaching methodology blends in academic competence and experiential learning. Our teachers ensure that every child’s learning styles and requirements are considered and teaching is personalized accordingly. They ensure that every child develops the basic cognitive and written skills, thus laying a strong foundation for the academic rigors of the higher grades. Salient Features of our Pre-Primary curriculum (Pre Nursery, Nursery, K1 and K2 program):
Creating a sense of inquisitiveness in the child by encouraging them to explore, ask questions and draw logical conclusions.
Introduction of basic mathematical exercises in a simple and tangible manner with gradual progression.
Developing comprehension skills through basic verbal and written exercises.
A variety of indoor and outdoor games to help foster development of motor skills, stamina, balance, rhythm, strength, agility and concentration.
Field trips to post offices, fire stations, aquariums etc. to add to the child’s real-world learning experience.

Primary

Key highlights of our Primary Class curriculum are:
• English Curriculum: The curriculum is expanded for students to understand various prose, poetry, drama, and non-fiction texts. Students are encouraged to read a wide variety of books to expand their horizon. A full-fledged School Library with over 10,000 titles encourages students to inculcate the habit of reading.
• Information & Communication Technology (ICT):In the age of advanced communications and technology it is imperative for students to learn and develop essential computer skills. Computer knowledge and skills are inter-woven into all subjects as it makes understanding of the related subject much easier and simpler. In addition to that there are clearly defined learning outcomes for Computers and their applications.
• Physical Education: The school provides students with facilities for an array of indoor and outdoor games. Each student is trained on one indoor and one outdoor activity. This ensures the development of a healthy body and mind for our students.
• Mathematics Curriculum: The curriculum has been developed to train the students in problem solving, logical reasoning and analytical skills. The teaching process ensures not only that the students understand the mathematical concepts but also help them comprehend their application in the real-world.

High School

At Deeksha we understand the significance of this particular phase in a student’s life and the role it plays in as a foundation for his/her professional career. Expanding the horizons of learning and mastery of advanced concepts and skills will be in focus during this phase. Hence, our schools offer a perfect blend of ICSE /CBSE syllabus, taught using the international curriculum framework of the Cambridge Board.

Up to class 8, the teaching is as per CBSE curriculum, but the teaching methodology, assessments and the lesson plans are as per the norms of international boards. From class 8 onwards, our students are channeled towards a specific syllabus to help them focus their class X milestone. Also, in Class IX, all students undergo counseling to take concrete steps towards their chosen career. At Deeksha,we help students prepare for competitive exams like – AIPMT, JEE, NEET, CLAT and a host of others.
